19-25 May 2025

Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Action Week will be running from 19-25 May 2025.

At least one in three people with dementia in the UK are living with the harsh realities of dementia without a diagnosis. As dementia Alzheimers Society know it is by getting this diagnosis that people are able to receive the care, treatment and support they need.

People living with undiagnosed dementia attend A&E three times more than those without the condition, and one and a half more times than those with mild, moderate and severe dementia.

On average, people live with dementia for three and a half years before receiving a diagnosis in England.

Our Dementia Advisers provide information and support to anyone affected by dementia or who have memory problems.
