Alert: IMPORTANT NOTICE – Changes to GP Appointments from Monday 22nd September 2025

On Monday 22nd September 2025, St Heliers Medical Practice introduced a new appointment booking system.

This change is part of updated NHS regulations under the Patient Charter - You and Your General Practice.
We have also listened to patient feedback. Many patients have expressed the need to pre-book routine appointments, while still having the option to be seen on the same day for urgent health needs. The new system has been designed to address both of these requirements.

Requests for help with ROUTINE (non-urgent) medical problems will need to be made via our online reception form. Our GP phone line will continue to be open for URGENT (same-day) issues only, during the following times: 8:30am – 10:30am or 2:30pm – 4:30pm

Our Care Navigators will be available to guide you and assist those needing help. Please visit our dedicated web page for more details and instructions. New Appointment System
